I am Yourstory Photography and Yourstory Photography is Jay Hamlin. It is hard to separate one from the other, for my way of looking at the world and the details within are how I approach most everything in my life.

I grew Yourstory Photography out of a classroom project I had my students complete back when I was teaching. The Yourstory Project, was a self-portrait essay students would write in my History class as a way of taking the “His” out of our class and putting the “You” into our historical narrative.

Fast forward over twenty years later, Yourstory Photography has grown into a constantly creative, ever evolving photography studio located in the heart of Jasper, Indiana. Blending the story of you with my vision, we, together, create imagery that is uniquely yours. For anyone today can take pictures, but few are truly artists. Yourstory puts artistry at the heart of what I do.
